Cheeseburger in Paradise
I am very sorry this took too long, I was sick for a week and had a lot of assignments. I used the font Berlin Sans because it looked silly and it matched the very real ingredients that very real burgers have. It feels less serious compared to fonts like Times New Roman and fits the viberant colors well. I created the soda with more difficulty than I thought because the lines would refuse to align properly, same with the fries. I was going to make this more seriously but I have a lot of missing assignments and I made the ingredients very real and not inedible. I used vibrant colors because it distracts people from the very real ingredients and is also good to look at and appeals to children who can convince their parents to buy the very real burger.
Storyboarding Project
The title is "Chase and Escape Scene" because I am not good at naming things.
The characters are the same characters I designed in the previous Rough Character Sketch project. I used the dragonfish, yeti crab, and the isopod characters. They still do not have names yet but I think I am going to use the animals' scientific names to create it. There are also the two kingdom guards sent out to capture the yeti crab and isopod. They are mostly just background characters because I would take too long designing more characters. I wanted to make the dragonfish character the main focus as I wanted to see how their powers may work with this project.
The plot is that the yeti crab and isopod were running from the kingdom guards as they are being hunted. The story previous to this is that the dragonfish character has been imprisoned and broke out of jail with the yeti crab and isopod's help, making them traitors against the kingdom. This will most likely be set place right after the dragonfish manages to leave the kingdom borders as the background is near the kingdom shown by the clam houses and the whale bones. The solution is the dragonfish rescuing them by chasing the guards away. I wanted to create this to see how the dragonfish's magic may work. They create portals to summon dragonfish (fish not character) made out of either inklike substance or some weird light trick that vanishes when no longer needed. They also use the fish as transportation and carries the two other characters to the whaling ship that is the character's home. The last panel is supposed to be a door but I forgot to label it. It concludes with them getting to safety at the old whaling ship.
Some personal notes are for the designs of the backgrounds, which also describes the setting. i want to make most of the areas based on organic/natural things found in the deep sea for the kingdom. The clam houses are an example of this. Clams aren't sentient I think so this is probably ethical. The exception is the whaling ship which is not a part of the kingdom. I want to make the design clash with the kingdom a bit but not too much. I made rocks look like it is consuming the whaling ship so it isn't too jarring compared to the other landscapes I may draw later. There will be a few lighting such as the light from the kingdom as the main source and the light from the dragonfish summons. The whaling ship will most likely be very dim with maybe a few artificial looking lighting. The inside of the whaling ship isn't in the storyboard but I have some ideas for its design. The furniture is usually stolen from the kingdom which look more organic or are degrading metal. There are pipes along the walls that are broken or having organic rocklike formations like the ones on the exterior of the ship growing on them. I want the ship to look like it is being consumed by the earth both inside and outside.

Rough Character Sketch
I apologize in advance.
The characters I have created are based on mainly deep sea creatures such as a dragonfish, yeti crab, glass squid, giant isopod, anglerfish, and a sperm whale. The main city/setting is based on hydrothermal vents and a whale fall combined (whale falls are when whales die and fall into the deep sea where it is then consumed by nearby organisms; this can create new ecosystems and support it for decades). I am also planning on designing a home for the dragonfish character as they do not live in the hydrothermal vent kingdom. I have not started designing it yet because it was 2 am when I was coloring the hydrothermal vents and I really wanted to go to sleep. I will be refiring the hydrothermal vent kingdom as just "the kingdom" because I am not typing that each time I mention it.
For the first character, they are designed off of the dragonfish. They lived their whole life within a cave-like castle close to the kingdom. The castle was originally a ship that has sunk a long time ago and slowly eroded into a cave-like structure. They possess more magical powers than physical but their staff can be used as a spear. They are very curious about inanimate objects as they have been isolated for their whole life but are extremely cautious with other people. Their mother is feared in the kingdom for previously attacking it multiple times. The kingdom has sent multiple sacrifices, ranging from gold to prisoners (as food) so she stays calm. It has been around 10 years since her death; the kingdom is unaware of this and has been sending anual sacrifices. The latest sacrifice was the yeti crab character, the first human sacrifice ever since her death.
For the second character, he is designed off of the yeti crab. He used to be a guard at one of the platforms near the vents in the kingdom until an accident which took his arm and most of his vision happened. They earned a prosthetic crab arm but was later exiled due to "incompetence" as his eyesight worsened and was sent to the dragonfish's castle as a sacrifice. The arm can be used as a normal claw and also shoot beams of energy; this, however, drains the energy of the arm and shuts it down. The arm is powered by bacteria creating energy as yeti crabs in real life "farms" bacteria for food. I also made him look very tall by drawing him really large on the canvas; he is shorter than the other characters other than the anglerfish character.
For the third character, she is designed off of the glass squid. She works closely with the kingdom's rulers who I have not designed yet. I have not written a lot of her story as I was very tired and it was 2 am. She has glass arms as a "decoration" and have tentacle-like robot limbs to serve as arms. She is able to use magic and create barriers.
For the fourth character, they are designed off of the giant isopod. She used to work with the yeti crab character until he got exiled. They now serve as a guard for the glass squid character. Her main weapon is a sword that I did not draw.
For the fifth character, they are based off of the anglerfish. They used to be a wanderer until they got jailed by the kingdom. They can create illusions with lights; their lamp is the main source of their magic.
For the sixth character, he is based off of the sperm whale. They are ancient compared to the other characters as he was alive when the kingdom was first created. Their partner was the whale that turned into the kingdom when the two, alongside with their pod, were hunted by ships; the character's scars are from the same boat that killed their partner. This is also biologically incorrect because whales do not mate for life but we are going to ignore that. We are also ignoring how mature male sperm whales usually dont travel in pods because this project would make a marine biologist cry. He visits the kingdom annually and seen as a "god" by many in the kingdom.
Whales as a species are considered as deities as they are the reason why the kingdom formed. A whale's death is considered as a blessing they have given to the people in the depths. I am also planning on designing a colossal squid / giant octopus character later. The hearts of whales have a high concentration of magic in this world which spreads into the people of the depths. It is the main source for magic for most of the people in the kingdom such as the glass squid character; however, the dragonfish and anglerfish do not earn their magic from the whale.
Food for the kingdom are usually grown by nearby farms with most being algae, bacteria (bacteria are like mashed potato in this world), and giant tube worms (bacteria but inside a tube). The giant tube worms are considered as animals and bacteria are not equivalent to mashed potatoes in real life but I am going to consider them as plants here because this is fantasy and I can do whatever I want. The farms are supported by the nutrients from the hydrothermal vents. The hydrothermal vents are also much safer than real life vents. Once again this is fantasy and not a biology class. The vents are still extremely dangerous as the yeti crab character lost an arm because of it. Meat is also eaten but much more scarce. Shrimps are farmed near the vents and hunters usually go out to collect any wandering fish such as lanternfish and flashlight fish (not humanoid). There are probably some people who cannibalize as meat is scarce and not everyone can survive on mashed bacteria potatoes. Murder is still illegal. The shrimps are much more expensive compared to the giant tube worms as they need to live very close to the vents, making it dangerous to farm.
The kingdom's climate is very warm compared to the rest of the abyss which can reach to freezing temperatures. The areas near the hydrothermal vents are even hotter as the fumes can be boiling. Marine snow falls everywhere in the kingdom as it is not actual snow and is dead fish particles. They are still considered as a weather event here though. There is also no day-night cycle as it takes place in the deep sea. Most of the lights come from lamps made from bioluminecent bacteria and the weird throne room I made.
I would most likely 3d model these characters as 2d animating will be very painful. 3d modeling will be easier to animate as some of the characters have a lot of detail that would be hard to draw over and over consistently. If this was an open world game, only making the first 5 characters playable may be a good idea because of how big the 6th character is.
Also weebly deleted a paragraph of information because it logged me out.

4 Corners AnimationI have created this scene by importing the car, scaling it properly, making it follow the road, adjusting the animation, changing the timeframe, and rendering the video. It taught me how to animate objects following a line, similar to the screwdriver but for animating. I can use this to create things like an object following a path much easier than manually animating the entire path.

Masking
I used the masking tool to cut out the cat from the original image. I used the lasso tool to make a rough outline for the mask, then I used the brush tool on the masking layer to trim the image more. I also painted over the arm as it had bits of plant on it that I did not like. I used this instead of the fill tool as I did not want to lose quality on the image. It differs from things we learnt in previous graphics activtivities as it makes you manually edit the masking layer for finer details. This reinforced previously learnt skills with masking as it goes further into how to use it properly. It also teaches you how to use multiply layers which is commonly used for shading on images.
Vignette
I used the masking tool, brush and erase, layers, and transforming tool for this project. I learnt how to adjust the masking tools more and how to use opacity in photoshop. It differs from the previous project as it utilizes the brush tool more while the previous project was focused around using the transform tool. This reinforces previously learnt skills as it further develops the use of masking and editing layers.
4 Corners Scene
I used basic primitives as well as precise transformations to create this piece. This piece used the basic primitives to create the objects and were moved using the transformations. They were both created and moved by the Keyboard Entry. It taught me how to create objects and move them without having to guess how big they should be by just dragging and clicking.
Basic Modeling
I began this project with the nuts and bolts, which I kept mixing up with the screwdriver for some reason. I then ddi the wine glass, screwdriver, and at last, the chess piece. I like the lighting I did on most of the models; it makes it easier to see from the black background. The easiest part of this project is the wine glass and the screwdriver. I kept messing up with the outline of the chess, and the screwdriver sure was something. I used just basic skills like creating boxes from previous projects. I learned how to use lines and the lathe modifier, the weird loft thing, other modifiers, and the compound objects. I also wasn't supposed to do lighting, but I did it anyway because I was bored. I can use this lesson in the future as the compound objects and modifiers will be extremely useful for detailed objects like the chess piece. I think the lesson could have been better with more things about the screwdriver because that one was painful. The ctrl z was also not working for some reason, which was weird. The video for the screwdriver is also refusing to download.
